Make someone you love a delicious, homemade gift with these fig and chocolate truffles. These tasty treats are raw, rich and made from all-natural ingredients - so none of the nasty additives, refined sugar and preservatives! So go ahead and surprise someone (or yourself) with something special.
INGREDIENTS

6 dried figs

A handful of pistachio nuts

Pinch of salt

2 tbsp coconut oil

A handful of raw almonds - soaked overnight

Some extra pistachios chopped for the topping

Chocolate coating

1 tbsp coconut oil

½ cup raw cacao
INSTRUCTIONS

Place all ingredients in a food processor and blitz till combined but not too mushy.

Form mixture into balls.

For the chocolate coating: mix the cacao and the coconut oil together in a bowl. (If the coconut oil is solid, just melt it by placing it into a bowl, and place that inside another bowl ¼ filled with water.

Dip the balls in the chocolate mixture and remove white a fork.

Place in a container lined with greaseproof paper.

Sprinkle some of the chopped nuts.

Once you have made all the truffles, seal the container and place it in the fridge to set. It makes about 12-16 truffles depending on how big you want them. They keep for unto 7 days in the fridge.
